Note:  (Country-Champions Race Rank)

*  Taylor Dent (USA) won his first ATP title in July 2002 and is #56 in the Champions race; Round of 16 Stockholm Challenger.
*  Twins, Bob and Mike Bryan (USA), are both in the top 200 in the Champions race – Bob 189, Mike 200.  And…they are #3 in the Doubles Rankings.  Won doubles tournaments in Basel, Switzerland and Toronto in 2002.
*  Xavier Malisse (BELG) lost in the semi-finals of Wimbledon this year and is currently #25 in the Champions race and also got to the round of 16 at the French Open.
*  Andre Sa (BRAZ) lost to Tim Henman in the Quarterfinals at Wimbledon.
*  Robbie Ginepri and Mardy Fish (USA) – newcomers – have made their move in 2002.  They are 119 and 102, respectively, in the Champions race.  Ginepri has won two challengers—North Carolina and Burbank, and Fish won the Bronx Challenger.
*  Brian Vahaly (USA) has come a long way in 2002 (no ranking to 146) – Won Tallahassee, FL and Aptos, CA challengers.
*  Getting in and staying in the Champions Race is not easy --  The players must collect points from the 4 Grand Slams, 9 Tennis Masters Series and Tennis Masters Cup during the Entry System Period and then include 5 best results from all eligible tournaments they have played.  Plus, a lot of sacrifice, hard work, and traveling to some not so sophisticated places.  And, at the beginning of the new year, they start over.
